Special Lunch Plan “Shokuyu Kaiseki”
We offer popular winter-only plans to let anyone comfortably have the
once-in-a-lifetime experience of this special fare. Selected high-class
restaurants offer lunch courses for the very rare price of JPY 5,000
(JPY 5,250 with tax), served in private rooms, with a new establishment
featured each month.

This restaurant was founded as a tea house near the Hoko-ji
Daibutsuden in 1659. With “Once in a lifetime” as our credo, we
combine the taste of Kyoto with seasonal items and honest artistry,
and have been loved by locals for generations.

On a property of approximately 3,300 square meters, our garden is the work of the famed garden designer Jihei Ogawa, and is backed by Mt. Higashiyama. Cuisine can be enjoyed while viewing our garden from any room.

Founded in 1722. This restaurant serves elegant cuisine of the imperial court, other traditional dishes, and food used in rituals, as well as knife rituals, which have been passed down from master to disciple through generations.
